Today is our last day of the hop.  I hope you enjoyed everyone's projects, I know I have!

I found this kid's footprints poem online but I only used a part of it for my journaling.  My husband loves to play and swim with the girls.  He also walks with them while he talks about the ocean and just stuff in general.

My journaling reads:  "Walk a little slower Daddy, I'm following in your footsteps and I don't want to fall.  Sometimes your steps are fast, sometimes they are hard to see.  So walk a little slower Daddy, For you are leading me.

Here is a tag a made a few months ago... I just love it!  I have it hanging in my room and just wanted to share it with you for the last day of the hop.

I also have blog candy to giveaway. I will be combining all the comments I receive throughout the week. The more you comment, the more chances you will have to win! I would love for you to become a follower of my blog but it is not required. Please leave a way for me to reach you in case you are the lucky winner.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Make sure you hop along to Gill's beautiful blog and see what she has in store for today!

My daughter had this box left over from nail polish I bought for her.  I told her that I wanted to make her a "Shell Treasure Box."  She loves to collect seashells but we always loose the tiny ones.  I thought this would be perfect to store them in.

I lined the inside with a light blue pp that resembled water to me (not sure of the manufacturer). Next I stamped these adorable characters from Stampin' Up Fishy Friends set with SU Black Ink. On the cover and binding I used the Stampin Around Sandy Shells with the SU Whisper White Craft Ink. The final touch was to stamp cherish in SU Black Ink from SU Warm Words set on the same blue pp with SU dimensionals.

I also have blog candy to giveaway. I will be combining all the comments I receive throughout the week. The more you comment, the more chances you will have to win! I would love for you to become a follower of my blog but it is not required. Please leave a way for me to reach you in case you are the lucky winner.

Scrappin' Chics Kitchen Theme Challenge Project #2

Wow!  What a crazy week I had!  So many new things happening at work and busy at home with family.  I hope you all had a great week.  Now on to my project.  I really wanted to make something with the DCWV Kitchen paper (which I thought I had - Not!)  but I couldn't find any at the stores.  So after being blocked for so long, I decided to share rolodex cards with you.  I love these papers, I was hoarding them for years.  lol
On the back, I have some pp, with white cardstock with a personalized stamp with my info in it, my name in writing and my picture.

If you just stopped by my blog, thank you so much.  I hope you like what you see and become a follower.  Please go to Scrappin' Chics Challenge to see the Design Team's 2nd reveal for this month.  I love what they made.  I hope you have a great day!

Mother's Day Blog Hop Post #2

If you just stopped by my blog to visit, Thank You.  If you are here for the hop, you should be coming from Martha's Blog.  If so, you are on the right track.  If not, why don't you go start from the beginning at Jen's Blog.

For today's post, I made a Mother's Day gift for  Lynette, a girl I work with.  Her favorite color is purple, her bathroom is purple and she loves the saying I have here.  "Changing the toilet paper won't cause brain damage"  Lynette had commented that she needed to get a plaque with this saying on it for her bathroom a few weeks back.  (that's when  got the idea to make it for her)

I hope you like my wall-hanging and all the projects you have seen so far.  If you like my blog, please become a follower.  If you are a follower already, thank you.  Leave me a comment to be eligible for my giveaway.  I am going to take all the names from the comments from yesterday's post and today's post and pick a winner.  If you commented on both posts, you have 2 chances to win. ;)  I would love to hear what you think of my project.  Also leave me a way to contact you in case you are the lucky winner.  Thank you so much for stopping by.
Your next stop is Carlene.   The complete lineup is located below in case you missed anyone.

*** Please take a minute to stop by our new challenge blog at Scrappin' Chics Challenge Blog *** We have a monthly challenge and sponsor giveaways each month.

Mother's Day Blog Hop Post #1

If you just stopped by my blog to visit, Thank You.  If you are here for the hop, you should be coming from Martha's Blog.  If so, you are on the right track.  If not, why don't you go start from the beginning at Jen's Blog.

Happy Mother's Day!  I am so happy to be a mom and to be able to celebrate with my mom.  For my first post, I chose to make an 8 x 8 layout of my mom and my brother.  I never get a decent picture of these two for one reason or another.  It is a long time joke, that my mom always says "My Son" in a sweet innocent voice.  Suppose to make me jealous, Not!  lol  This picture was taken Christmas this past year.
Supplies:  DCWV 8x8, Bazzil Cardstock, Buttons, MM Letters and my new Sew Easy.

I am reposting a layout I made of my mom a few months ago.  My mom was diagnosed with dementia about 1 1/2 years ago and has had many ups and downs since then.  Mom has always been the strong-supportive person in our lives.  My mom is my everything, including being my best friend!
Supplies: SEI Moonrise paper and tag, Cricut title, MS Punch, Prima Flowers

Surprise Flowers from My husband and daughter, Victoria this morning!  Yellow Roses are my favorite!

I hope you like my layouts and all the projects you have seen so far.  Enjoy the rest of the hop.  If you like my blog, please become a follower.  If you are a follower already, thanks ;).  Leave me a comment to be eligible for my giveaway.  I would love to hear what you think of my work.  Also leave me a way to contact you in case you are the lucky winner.  Stop back tomorrow to see post #2 for the Mother's Day Hop.

Your next stop is Carlene.   The complete lineup is located below in case you missed anyone.

Scrappin' Chics First Challenge - Kitchen Theme

I can't believe how fast our challenge blog has taken off.  We are already at 140 followers!  Today is the debut of our first challenge.  The theme is "Kitchen".   You can make anything - card, tag, layout or an altered item as long as it has something to do with the kitchen theme.  The designers came up with some awesome projects.  I am so happy that they are part of this new endeavor with me.  Jen and the Guest Designers have done a great job as well.  Thank you Jen, for taking this challenge with me.  For my "Kitchen" project, I am sharing a recipe card box with you.

I used 3 Bugs Sugar line, Prima Flowers, HS ghost letters and traced them onto the paper to create the lowercase letters, Stampin' Up Hardware, Sharpie White Paint Pen, Beads, Rhinestones and Trim

Thank you for stopping by, please go to the Scrappin' Chics Challenge Blog to see all the projects for our first challenge.
